Westmoor Veterinary Hospital can trace its origins back to 1920. The need for first class animal treatment is as relevant today as it was then. Westmoor has evolved into a state of the art small animal practice providing 24/7 care for its patients. Our practice offers a caring, family feel to ensure that you and your pet receive a personal and friendly service.
Our diagnostic equipment includes digital X-ray, extensive in house laboratory, ultrasound scanners, endoscopes and a full range of up to date anaesthetic monitors, including a ventilator. The recent addition of a phaco-emulsifier allows us to offer the best possible treatment for cataracts. Therefore you should feel confident to recommend us for your second opinions and eye referrals.
We are a dedicated small animal practice providing 24-hour care with a veterinary nurse on site at all times. Our veterinary surgeons have strong interests in ophthalmology, soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics, medicine and diagnostics. As such we can provide a wide range of surgical and medical skills to our patients.
Westmoor has qualified veterinary nurses who are available for consultations including weight clinics, adolescent health checks, diabetic clinics, nutrition, wound management, dental clinics and many more.
We are available for consultations on an appointment basis from 9am – 7pm Monday to Friday and 9am – 1pm on Saturday, with emergency cover provided by Westmoor veterinary surgeons at night, weekends and all holidays. There is also a nurse on site 24-hours a day to care for inpatients through the night and to assist the on call veterinary surgeon.
In July 2012, we proudly achieved RCVS Hospital status which is the highest level a veterinary practice can achieve. Furthering this, in 2017 we achieved an “outstanding” level for client care under the Practice Standards Scheme.
