Our two dedicated ophthalmology consulting rooms are fully equipped with direct and indirect ophthalmoscopes, slit lamp biomicroscopes, digital tonometers with the ability to perform gonioscopy and ultrasonography as required.
Our ophthalmology operating theatre has a modern operating microscope and all the appropriate surgical kit. We can offer phacoemulsification as a treatment for cataracts in dogs and cats, as we also have an Alexos phacoemulsification machine, and intraocular lens implantation (if the eye is suitable) to give more focused vision afterwards.
Ocular ultrasound is available and can be used to investigate lesions through opaque ocular media or image retrobulbar disease. It is also used to take measurements of ocular structures.
