Chris is a well respected and longstanding face in the veterinary ophthalmological world. He sits on the panel for BVA/KS/ISDS and is one of only a small number of eye surgeons with the skills and experience to deal with really complex eye issues. Chris gained the RCVS Certificate in Ophthalmology in 1985 and heads up the ophthalmology team at Westmoor, where he has worked for over 40 years and is a well known face in the community.

Michael is a 1995 graduate from the University of Bristol. He gained the RCVS Certificate in Ophthalmology in 2011, and then became recognised by the RCVS as an ‘Advanced Practitioner in Veterinary Ophthalmology’ in 2015. He has recently spent the last few years dedicated to referral-only ophthalmology veterinary work. He is a member of the RCVS British Association of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (BrAVO) and the International Equine Ophthalmology Consortium (IEOC).
Kate Salmon MA VetMB GPCertSAM BSAVA PGCertSAOphthal MRCVS
Kate graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2000. She worked in mixed and small animal practice in the South-East and then Swansea before moving to the South-West in 2006. She joined Westmoor in 2016 to undertake further ophthalmology training and gained the BSAVA Post Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Ophthalmology in 2019. She is a member of the British Association of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (BrAVO). Kate has an interest in ocular manifestations of systemic disease, and particularly enjoys corneal surgery.
